Hi Guys,

Back again with another problem.

Stopped for a bite to eat and came back to see the airbag light glowing constantly.

I've tried the seat belt retainers but no avail, wondered if it can be reset manually?

Also started pinking slightly on low revs, presume this is a timing/tuning issue?

I have still not fixed my wipers, they are hitting faster speeds than a traffic cop on the way to the chippy. I will give it a go in the hols but can anyone give me some pointers on what to check in what order for wipers stuck on one speed.

Many thanks fellow galaxians and a merry crimbo to you all :o

The airbag needs reset with VAG-COM or similar, if you post your location there may be someone who can help who uses the forums.

It would be slightly more useful to let us know what version of the Gal you have i.e. year, engine, gearbox etc.

I've just had the airbag light problem on my Focus company car, It needed a new front crash sensor. I hadn't hit anything, jolted anything or done anything that might have busted it, it just failed apparently. I don't know if it's the same as yours, but when I turned the ignition on, it flashed a couple of times and then was permanently lit until I turned the ignition off again. I had to query it with Ford due to insurance implications and was told that it meant the system was un-operable even in a crash so I had to get it fixed straight away.

Thanks Soptom

Makes me even more inclined to get it looked at and loose the black tape blocking it :o

I have look through my autodata but it doesn't help much. Hopefully someone local to me might help out if they read this post.
